Our Movement Studio was born out of the love and need to move the body through various movement forms of activity, such as Nia, Pilates, Rebounding, and TRX.

We offer classes and workshops for people to experience and educate themselves through mindful movement so that they can love their bodies. Our students find health and wellness as they integrate their bodies and mind, and this in turn enhances their lives. We have created a place where they can experience joy and be in the moment, dedicating an hour or two to themselves in a safe space and a comfortable environment. It’s a place where they are encouraged to just be – no judgement or expectations.

We hope to attract those who want a workout by moving and releasing stress and tension from their bodies, and decluttering the mind. These would be people who want a holistic approach to exercise and movement and who are respectful and mindful. Through our movement forms are sub-attributes such as meditation, breath work, women’s health and wellness. We are also looking at getting guest speakers in regarding alternative health workshops.

Our resident biokineticist, Ashley Moolman, uses exercise as a rehabilitation modality to combat many conditions and injuries. She also assists to prepare for an upcoming sports event. There is no such studio on the West Rand, especially where one can come and experience different forms of movement in one place.
